spring into action

now I'm feeling weird for posting
so I basically do a mix every week...I did think with the change in guru..I was going to give it a rest..but obsessive doesn't cut it.
this is a selection..ignore if you want.

I have tried to keep it spring like as much as possible..I don't have to justify it in the paper..but it's relevant to me.

hopefully some of it will connect with you lot.

Thanks, Saneshane. As usual, or maybe even more than usual, I love the picture. And looking forward to listening, but that might be tomorrow.

the picture needs work but felt it kind of had connections with your graffiti film idea..just as a...'this isn't the style you would expect' kind of thing.
I like twisting things.

I agree regarding Ooberman, I just loved The Magic Treehouse. I met a lot of people through their message boards, most of them lovely. I don't think all their stuff stands up, but things like Blossoms Fallin and Shorley wall are just lovely. The band themselves were lovely too, met them a couple of times, including bumping into Dan and Sophia at Glasto 1999. Love that Stellastar track too, reminds me of Tokyo!

I agree, tracy, Magic Treehouse is, at best, patchy - but when its good, its GREAT. I really hope Blossoms gets into the list. Roll me in Cotton was always my fave...

Shane - I was going to say on the mothership that the My Coco tip was tenuous at best but it really doesn't matter, cos that tune just KILLS. I love that first album, Pulp Song especially. Its driving music, pure and simple. Nice mix.

Cheers everyone..
It's been a good day here for spring songs..stellastar* has been crowbarred in..but it's cracking innit! as is pulp song.
as for Ooberman 'shorley wall' is a perfect few minutes of song for me..so they can get away with a lot.

You put the Blonde Redhead tune twice, I didn't hear the Cinematic Orchestra song which is usuallt a definitive dond from me.
