Random cover version

With apologies to others for burying more 'serious' posts, I couldn't resist posting this cover version of Ms Lauper's finest moment. My daughters are currently watching the film from which it's taken (Confessions Of A Shopaholic) and I just heard it and fell in love with it straight away. Others may hate it - I think it's just gorgeous - and very inventive ...

Let me know what you think.

Nice track - but this stuff where you apologise for burying more serious stuff? As I think my own posts clearly demonstrate, you have a LONG ways to go in the frivolousness stakes TB old chap.

Yeah, I liked it too.

If that was someone like John Cale doing it, it would be hailed as a classic re-interpretation.

Absolutely loved it. Can't help remembering though that when I saw Donnie Darko I loved the similarly laid back version of Mad World. The thing got released as a single, shot up the charts and I have to admit that, out of its original context and subjected to repeat listenings, I got fed up with it quite rapidly.

Wow!

Greg Laswell's name scribbled on the blotter in front of me, for investigation tomorrow ...

Glad you all like it - just goes to show that these awful teen films do have some worth in them after all!

I've put an mp3 in the Dropbox.

Cheers, Toffee. After this morning's Spotify listening, I'm getting What A Day and That It Moves too.
