Oh Mama

Shameful edit
I still want it to be summer hot

Why can't the picture be the right size?! I want to use all that nice space we have now.

That was so nice I listened to it twice. Who's that by? It has a nice happy/wistful quality.

I feel ridiculously nostalgic for summer. It's getting dark so early already, and I keep having these memories of taking the boys swimming and feeling almost weepy. I like autumn, too though, so I'm not complaining!

Fuck, I thought so. I even searched the blog.

Sorry Blimpy, fixed it now.

@ ed - possibly not the ideal picture to use in light of the awful news from Samoa ...

Very true, fixed that too.

Hmmm..... Liked the picture, liked the song. I thought it was familiar, but en fait Blimpy never said who did it and I can't ever tell what bpy and Shane are talking about in their in on it Indy vocabulary. Joking boys joking.

Seemed like a very calm ocean.

I just read this back and it seems a bit snide on many counts. It's the iPhone. Weren't meant that way.

Sorry! Back on the real computer. FIrst of all -- love the new picture, what's that from? Second of all, I don't see how the picture of a calm ocean, which is how I remember it, could be seen to be problematic. thrid of all, I'm sorry for being so garbled, I'm completely confused. DId you just change your clip Ejay? And who the hell is Let's go Surfing by? And what's the song really called? The Drums? Is that the band?

You youngsters are playing with my mind, aren't you? We'll have NO baiting of the old lady and then when she comes running out onto the porch shaking her cane at you, hiding in the bushes giggling. None of that!!

Like that xx album a lot. Reminds me to sort out an AOTM as September has come & gone already.

Ejay, that picture of a school stairwell wall is in extremely bad taste considering the recent spate of amok attacks in schools over here. Shame on you.
No ice cream next time I take you to the zoo, and I'll be having a word with your mother about this.

Aaargh!! It's political correctness gone mad, Uncle Nilpferd! In my day, you could run amok all day, and nobody would flinch.

Sorry Ma Steenbeck, I did change my clip and my picture, which I love too (I took it) and is not from a school stairwell, but an apartment building stairwell, in Havana. The song was indeed called Let's Go Surfing by The Drums, and I like that you liked it twice. Coincidentally, the second song in Blimpy's original post was called I Felt Stupid... Now I'll make it up (it's all relative), with a post about possibly RR's least favourite genre.

Hmmpff.. ok, then, you're off the hook. And it is a nice photo. To make it up I'll add Christian Prommer's Drum lessons to the E-N box.

@ nilpferd - :0)

I know - but it was the juxtaposition of a wave approaching a beach and the words 'Oh Mama' that just felt wrong to me.
