Get A Head - travel broadens your mind...ou est le gremlin cette semaine?

By eckers like it wor raight parky ovver theer- ah tell thi. I'm aiming to post some moosick soon as soon as i've mastered this Podbean malarky, but until then it's a poser reliant on your own travelling experience i suppose, which is a bit exclusive (unless you google 'big gold head'- which is a bit cheating but probably what i'd do...); it's agrteat piece of sculpture and i really like the accepted norm now of placing art in prominent public places for all us plebs to appreciate for nowt..shame about the 'convoy cut' straggly bits at the back of his/her head...

Mais non, mais non, it is in a "gay" city(in the traditional sense - not the changed meaning or the changed, changed meaning used in such a derogatory sense by my kids and their generation)....

So, .... not Le Jardin Du Luxembourg in Gay Paree then?

That Jeff Koons crack was seriously funny. No idea about the head. Am stunned that it hasn't been grafitti'd. It's obviously in a very well behaved place.

Well done TanteTatanka - you win ze prize! it is indeed the "Jardins de Luxembourg" in 'gay' Paris and a wonderful sculpture it is too - fp you are right it should have something scrawled all over it but NO ...not even some initials! These Parisiens are so sofistikated.

See, I was toying with you there GFC. I stayed at the Hotel Luxembourg Parc on honeymoon, back in February, which I would recommend for ambience and location - http://www.hotelluxparc.com .

We were blessed with lots of lovely, sunny February days and spent some of each one in the wonderful Luxembourg Gardens.
So when I googled 'big gold head' I found a further picture and recognised the steps and balustrade up from the formal garden in front of Le Palais. Now, if you hadn't been wearing that cumbersome potato headgear, you'd have spotted the adjacent Medici fountain and been able to wander across to the Statue of Liberty maquette and even better, the fabulous Rucher du Jardin du Luxembourg and adjacent orchard and fruit gardens.
