Get yer 'ead off my truncheon ,pal
Decided to post 2 at once as will be away more than likely over t'weekend, so this is earlier than the first one by about 6 years and should be a doddle for you all - if anyone lives near here you'll recognise the background - dead give away. This is part of our history and should be taught in schools - have a great weekend!

1.48 ... that is. Nice one .... you are Lord Leonard Zelig of Spill, ... official!
That is a title i shall wear with pride from now on - never believed in peerages until now, what a great thing this class society is! Just look at all those nasty well-armed miners in their t-shirts and jeans, daring to threaten the riot police who are only armed with helmets, truncheons and riot shields - they were only jobs after all...
I'm ashamed to say that as an impressionable teenager in the early Twatcher years, I absolutely LOATHED Arthur Scargill, and what I mistakenly thought he represented.
When he was eventually proved to be spot on about the government's intentions, I actually hated him even more, because then I thought if he hadn't ** come across ** as quite such a belligerent, blinkered, bellicose berk, we all might have listened to what he had to say a bit bloody sooner. Christ, now I'm advocating spin doctors as union heads ... y'see how this subject still gets me riled a quarter of a century later? Gah!
DAMNED RIGHT this should be taught in schools.
And by the way, that ISN'T an accidental spelling mistake.
I'd like to believe that you lot know me well enough by now to agree with my assertion that I'm not normally a violent or vindictive man, but I had family on both sides of that battle (though only the miner side were actually THERE).
I hope with every fibre of my being that the woman burns in Hell, and the sooner she gets there the better. If she can get that warmonger/USlapdog Blair to drive her there, so much the better. I'll donate the petrol ...
