This is why you don't make it to the post office...all day trawling through you tube!
Genius by the way.
Have you seen Chris Cunninghams video for Bjorks 'All is full of love' by the way? not one for your sons robot collection but will be in my top 10 when the subject comes up!

Amazing!
And that little flute at the beginning was sampled by The Beatnuts http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b-zInbX40js

I hadn't seen it Saneshane, but now I have. It was beautiful, but how'd they do it? Who knew robots could be so sensual--sexy but heartbreakingly lonely at the same time.

I liked the Beatnuts, too. Native tongue movementers, eh? My feeble brain is going to burst with all the music I wish I knew more about. From some samples of samples heard earlier I was youTubing Zoxea. Do you know more?

I didn't know they were part of the Native Tongues, but their wikipedia page says so. They always had great samples though.
Zoxea: was he in Les Sages Poetes de La Rue? Actually since I've got wikipedia open I'll check myself. Yep that's him. I had their first album, which I was quite fond of. It actually wouldn't be wrong to compare them to ATCQ. They were with MC Solaar and that, which was the more conscious rap half of Parisian hip hop. I think they released that first album in the early-mid 90's and then nothing until much much later, I think. Here's some songs I remember from that cassette.

Thanks Ejaydee. I liked his voice, and then according to wikipedia he was involved with the l'haine (or is it La Haine?) soundtrack, which I remember liking.
