Ah, The Redskins. I was one of those wary at the time, but with hindsight, I was wrong to be so. My collections only Redskins record - the 12" of (Burn It Up) Bring It Down (This Insane Thing) gains more cred weight with each passing year.

I was always happy to see them on the front line at benefit gigs back in the 80's, although never really got into them. Quite right though to feature them here. Skinhead was originally a statement of working class pride

Great to hear this again, Carole. Saw them live in Watford with Billy Bragg back in about 1985. Scored fairly high on the rioutous scale when some BNP skinheads tried to get into the hall.

Always liked the idea of the Redskins more than the music at the time. Off for some re-appraisal I think, given the recommendations by highly regarded spillers.Will let you know...
