Who's supposed to be narrating after I WIshed On THe Moon?

Great Billie Holiday tracks, like Paper Moon too, though I think Nat King Cole's is the best version. Sort of feel the moon is only a prop here anyway.
The start of the Radiohead track reminds me of John Barry's space music for Diamonds are Forever.

The Black Star and Busdriver tracks are great, Mos Def too, sometimes I don't like his beats much but this hits the spot.

The narrator must be Annie Ross, she wrote the lyrics for twisted.

Steen, I meant to ask what you do with the boys for Halloween, Mara was sort of keen to have a party, but we never celebrated it in NZ.

In Germany Oct. 31 is better known as the day Luther nailed his theses on the door of a church.

So is Annie Ross talking about herself, or is she narrating somebody else's story?

Whoa! Where is that narration from? That is NOT the version of I wished on the moon that I have in my iTunes. What the what? Very strange -- oh, no, it's from dropbox - somebody else put this version in dropbox. Wait, I'm going to fix it.

She seems to be talking about her own life.. she talks about getting called up to replace Holiday, and about having composed Twisted, etc. Sounds like a radio interview about Holiday, where Ross is reminiscing about her own personal contact with B.H.

Ejay - thanks for pointing that out, I had no idea!

Nilpferd - Malcolm had a parade and a party at school Friday, and Isaac and I were allowed to go, too. Then yesterday as soon as it got dark we went trick-or-treating. It was raining, though, and the town was toooo crowded, so we didn't go out very long, but we sat home giving out candy and looking at the costumes. THis is the first time in a while we haven't gone to a party on Halloween night, but it felt like too much. And there was a band playing (for kids) on the other side of town, but we never made it down there.

Halloween parties can be fun, though--spooky music and funny/scary food. Well, we haven't actually had one since we've had kids, come to think of it.

I actually liked this morning better, they came down in their pjs and were watching scooby doo and building their lego city and trying to wait till after breakfast to eat any halloween candy, and I had such a flashback to my childhood.
